Layer Cake is a pretty good movie.
This post is not about that movie.
This post is about watching that movie with your best friends one night. Then, a mere five nights later, one of those friends turns to you and says, "Have you ever seen Layer Cake?"
I think that my blank stare was really the only answer I could have given.
How could I possibly have an ego with friends like these?

- Not revealing a whole lot about myself here. I have a government job (i.e. work for the man) that I'll likely be talking about. Chances are pretty slim that I'd say anything that would really jeopardize my job but why risk it, right? If you're visiting, you probably know who I am.

Let's be honest about you and your ego. As your friends we are here to keep you honest about how you should feel about yourself. Remember who you are and don't let it get you down.
My response to that comment was pretty much the same blank stare mentioned in the post. But that's a little hard to express on the interweb.
I suppose a "WTF" would be appropriate.

Well at least you weren't told twice in one day by people you've talked to consistently for two months that they don't know your name. I just love how everyone I know feels the need to tell me I'm insignificant.
As for your friend, I really think you need to give the poor chap a break. I mean it's not their fault the movie was so good that it didn't matter who else was there besides Daniel Craig.
I know that I have watched a movie with you and later that year asked if you have seen it. I think I asked about one movie 3 times before it sunk in that we watched it together.
I deserve at least a blank stare and a burp in my face. You owe me that.
