Yes, it's been too long. Who knows if anyone is even checking this anymore. There isn't a whole lot going on these days. Just waiting for winter to end. It could get down to single digits again tonight. Fantastic.
But really what I want to do is point you to this article by my idol David Simon. Pretty stunning stuff in my opinion.

- Not revealing a whole lot about myself here. I have a government job (i.e. work for the man) that I'll likely be talking about. Chances are pretty slim that I'd say anything that would really jeopardize my job but why risk it, right? If you're visiting, you probably know who I am.

Over here, even taking photos of policemen could be deemed illegal, and you could be arrested under counter-terrorism legislation.
Which rather begs the question of how, exactly can the police be held to account, if you would be accused as a terrorist for taking a photo of them 'doing a Rodney King' or whatever the British equivalent is...
Who watches the watchmen, eh?
